About Us

We are members of Jersey’s community who believe that a free, independent, and unbiased press is vital to the island’s future and the well-being of its people.

We also believe that government must operate with openness, honesty, and transparency—values that the Government of Jersey should actively strive to strengthen.

Meanwhile, Jersey’s population has surged at a pace the island’s infrastructure and housing market simply cannot sustain.

More residents mean more demand for homes – and with limited land, prices continue to soar beyond the reach of many working families. Renters are squeezed, first-time buyers are locked out, and communities are changing rapidly as affordable housing becomes little more than a political promise.

The government insists it is “planning for growth,” but many islanders see only overdevelopment, overcrowding, and overspending. Jersey risks losing not just its affordability, but also the unique balance that once made island life so special.

It’s time for our leaders to take stock, rein in the spending, and focus on sustainable, middle income, people-first policies – before the island’s problems grow any larger than its borders can bear.

Jersey finds itself in a troubling state. Despite its small size and proud independence, the island’s government is spending far beyond its means while failing to address the growing pressures that affect everyday islanders.

Public finances have ballooned in recent years, with millions poured into government departments, consultants, and ambitious projects that deliver little visible improvement to public services. The result is a government machine that feels bloated, inefficient, and detached from the financial realities faced by the people footing the bill, the Jersey Taxpayer.
